Resumen

The human face recognition system could have a lot of applications with some modifications and additions. An unknown human facial image is first captured and digitised, then features of the digitalized image will be extracted by the feature extraction subsystem. These features are stored in a database and will be used to compare with the references in the memory quantitatively during the recognition phase. The process of nose and eye detection is complementary to that face detection. Eye detection, particullary pupil detection, together with the mass ceter of the best-fit ellipse of a face could give us information about where the person are looking and it's head position. All this for a not estructured system to look up the attention of people. All the system is implemented in Matlab.
