Resumen

The viability of electrostatic self-assembly method (ESAM) used for the deposition of thin films on long period gratings (LPG), for the fabrication of gas sensors, was discussed. IT was found that two main attenuation band occurred in the range of 1000-1400 nm around 1050 nm and around 1200nm. It was observed that the absorption band were displaced towards the lower wavelengths with the increase in the thickness of the film. It was also observed that the depth of the absorption bands changed with the increase in film thickness.
