Resumen
In converter-fed electrical machines, due to high dv/dt, electrical transients combined with transmission-line effects of cables, windings can experience significant voltage stress due to overvoltages, and the voltage can distribute non-uniformly across the turns. This paper proposes a systematic transfer-function based modelling approach for simulating winding voltage distribution over a wide frequency range, allowing for simulations of differential-mode (DM) and common-mode (CM) behaviors. Extensive experimental validations are presented in both frequency-domain and time-domain.
