Resumen
Cooperative systems based on V2X wireless communications offer promising opportunities for automotive safety and traffic efficiency improvement. Under preventive safety, cooperative assistance systems increase in-vehicle integrated safety systems functionality, enlarging driver's time-space perception as well as the quality and reliability of the environment data, and therefore enhancing his response to incoming events. In this paper, an on-board driving assistance system that brings traffic light information inside the vehicle is presented. Making use of positioning and cooperative I2V communications technologies, this system predicts the forthcoming traffic light state and assists the driver by means of an intuitive graphical interface (HMI).
