Resumen

The ADDRESS European project aims to develop a comprehensive commercial and technical framework for the development of 'Active Demand' and the market-based exploitation of its benefits. In ADDRESS, 'Active Demand' (AD) means the active participation of domestic and small commercial consumers in the electricity markets and in the provision of services to the other electricity system participants. This paper first recalls the project main concepts and briefly describes the proposed solutions. Then it gives an overview of the laboratory tests and the first results of the demonstrations that take place in three field test sites with different demographic and electricity supply characteristics in Italy, Spain and France. The first results of the consumers' acceptance study are also presented.
