Resumen
Binder Jetting (BJ) is an Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology offering significant advantages for producing complex geometries with high design freedom and scalability. This study investigates the application of BJ for the fabrication of heat exchangers, focusing on optimizing the printing process and validating some triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) geometries. The research aims to study the manufacturability of such complex structures. Process parameters, including layer thickness, binder saturation, were optimized to improve print quality and dimensional accuracy. Gyroid TPMS structures were designed and fabricated using stainless steel powder, varying the structure wall thickness and cell sizes. The printed samples underwent post-processing and were evaluated for porosity, dimensional stability and part quality. The study demonstrates the potential of Binder Jetting as a viable technology for next-generation heat exchanger manufacturing.
