Resumen
A significant portion of the efficiency losses in amorphous silicon (a-Si) p-i-n solar cells is due to the light reflected on the device surface or not absorbed within the intrinsic layer. One way to reduce these optical losses is the texturing of the transparent conductive oxide (TCO) on glass usually used as substrate (for a superstrate configuration). The scattering produced on the TCO surface results in a lower percentage of reflected light on the TCO/p-a-Si interface and a higher amount of captured light in the device absorber [1].
