Resumen

This paper presents the results obtained during the MAITE II project "Transport infrastructure noise attenuation: design and system modeling of additional devices to optimize the effectiveness on diffraction edges", based on calculations to evaluate the effect of top edge of the barrier. The intrinsic characteristics of the top edge have been assessed according to the European technical specifications CEN/TS 1793-4. The attenuation due to the top device has been evaluated at several distances. Finally, it is also presented the results obtained by 2D and 3D numerical simulations using a Boundary Element Method, in order to verify the results achieved in the measurement campaign.
