Resumen

The integration of manufacturing solutions based on the use of direct energy deposition technologies, including Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing WAAM, enables partial solutions using bimetallic materials that improve the final in-use properties of the part. In this paper, the fabrication of bi-metallic steel with mild steel-stainless steel in both overlapping and superimposed solutions is experimentally presented. The defect-free fabrication of bi-metallic walls from different steels is a unique process that is presented here for the first time.
