Resumen

The Standard EN 12354 1 provides a simplified calculation model, which allows the prediction of the acoustic behaviour of the building, using the laboratory data of the building components, and their mode of union. Within this model, the parameter Kij - that characterises modes of union - is one of the most complex. The availability of experimental data is complicated by the tediousness and complexity of both the measurement procedure as well as the processing and analysis of data. The standard approach presents Kij for some types of unions, mostly related to monolithic elements and double lightweight elements, but can not currently cover all the variations in the construction of buildings. For example, the standard doesn't consider unions between double homogeneous walls with peripheral resilient layers, and other elements. With the aim of obtaining more accurate calculations when designing with this type of walls, some expressions of Kij, based on the standard, have been considered for this type of unions. The work was based on ceramic brick double walls with peripheral resilient layers.
