Structural and Dynamical Studies of C-S-H Gel Synthesized with Nano-Silica Particles and Amine Functionalized Silica Nanoparticles

Resumen

In this work we have studied the dynamics of water confined in C-S-H gel and C-S-H gel synthesized with the addition of nano-silica (SiO2) and aminopropyl (-(CH2)3-NH2,) functionalized silica nanoparticles. Structural characterizations showed that the addition of nanoparticles increases the average length of the silicate chains in C-S-H gel. The dynamics of water confined in the microstructure of C-S-H with and without the addition of nanoparticles is altered and it can be related to a different porous structure in these materials.
