Resumen
A simulation model has been developed for the accurate prediction of the transmission of ground-borne sound and vibration from the rail surface to nearby buildings. The simulation model is called GROund Noise And Vibration simulation tool (ODS-GRONAV), that simplifies the selection of the right trackform for an underground railway. The simulation tool is based on a 2D finite element model. It includes specially developed elements providing properties similar to an infinite domain. The finite element model enable precise calculation of a wave propagation in complex ground, tunnel structures and building foundations.
